WHAT IS YAOI???? (also a little about me).....:)
Ahh, well what is yaoi?? hmmm, well you can google it and get lots of good
answers,...but... In simplest terms, it is romantic and sexual relations
between two males.....Also known as BL, or Boys love...
Anyhoo, yaoi is mostly written by women for women..hmmm..some of us
gals just like to see the boys get together...:P
Inevitably, I am always asked, "Why yaoi? Why do you like to see boys
together? What is the appeal??" Well, to those, I say, I don't know, why do
you like or dislike anything, like sardines, for example? You either like the
taste, or you don't..No outward obvious reason...You just do or don't...Well,
as far as yaoi goes, I like the taste very very much......I just do...:)
Okay, maybe it's not that simple, I just find boys loving other boys incredibly
romantic, and so satisfying when they just buck up and admit they are in
love no matter what anyone says. It's a beautiful thing. Alot of yaoi couples
begin to discover who they really are as a person when they accept that they
are in love, and realize it is an unstoppable force. The beginnings of a serious
romance are the most intense feelings that most of us ever experience. We
can experience that innocence, uncertainty, and torrent of raw emotion
flooding the young heart, in every yaoi story.
Of course the hot raw, pointless smut is great too...ha
About me, I love to write and draw yaoi, something about the relationships I
write about is very satisfying to me... BL affords me an artistic freedom that I
enjoy immensly. I love my characters, and try to treat them well...*smile*
